Hayao Miyazaki (Bunkyō, Tokio; 5 de enero de 1941) es un director de cine de animación, animador, ilustrador, diseñador gráfico, empresario, mangaka y productor de anime japonés, de renombre internacional y con una carrera de cinco décadas. Junto con Isao Takahata, fundó Studio Ghibli, un estudio de películas y animación. Ha sido comparado con Walt Disney, Steven Spielberg y Orson Welles. Sus películas hablan de la relación de la humanidad con la naturaleza, la tecnología y la dificultad de mantener una ética pacifista.
Hayao Miyazaki (Bunkyō, Tokyo; January 5, 1941) is an internationally renowned Japanese animated film director, animator, illustrator, graphic designer, entrepreneur, mangaka and anime producer with a five decades career. Together with Isao Takahata, he founded Studio Ghibli, a film and animation studio. He has been compared to Walt Disney, Steven Spielberg and Orson Welles. His films speak of humanity's relationship with nature, technology and the difficulty of maintaining a pacifist ethic.
